Dear Reader,

Once again, I am delighted to find you leafing through the pages of Discover St. Barths magazine. As every year, we have poured our hearts into helping you discover or learn a bit more about what makes St. Barths special—its beauties and people.

As always, we have chosen to cover various themes, but this issue will particularly highlight the island’s heritage.

The first part of the magazine is dedicated to this theme, featuring a fascinating encounter with the archaeologists from Inrap, a journey into the past with a visit to Domaine Félicité, a living museum of our island’s memory, and the discovery of a threatened craft—latanier weaving.

Balancing tradition and fashion, jewelry creations made with pearls will be showcased through the lens
of Jeanne Le Menn, who will also present her personal work.

After all, Discover would not be complete without a beautiful spotlight on the arts in St. Barths. Art in all its forms: photography with Jeanne, opera singing with Winona Berry, and the art market with Space Gallery St Barth.

Finally, we will indulge in the simple pleasures offered by our enchanting island, exploring the unique craft of shaping through the words of Antoine, also known as Bongo. We will wrap up this issue by delighting our taste buds. There will be something for everyone, with fusion cuisine crafted by Jacques of Villa Chef St Barth and, for those with a sweet tooth, pastries by Malik and Mathilde from Chokola Vany, who will also share an exclusive recipe.
